I started bodyboarding with my older brother and his friends and before I knew it, I was getting better and entered my first competition when I was 9 years old. A few years later, I ended up winning 5 South African titles. Also being the only boy under 15 to ever win the boys division and Pro Open division in 2012.
A freak accident on New Year’s Eve when the family was preparing for a braai left the blonde toddler with 80 percent of her body covered in third degree wounds. She had been playing on the grass at the family’s home in Lephalale in Limpopo, while her father, Erwin, was preparing a fire for the braai. He put fire lighter gel on a stick when the bottle suddenly exploded in his hands.
Pippie Kruger is a young girl aged 5, and has suffered 5 strokes causing mental and physical issues.
